Renowned hospitality provider Al-Bustan Hotel, located in the heart of Katsina City, recently held its end-of-year event to celebrate the achievements of its staff. The ceremony featured an award presentation tagged the "Best Staff of the Year," aimed at recognizing and appreciating exceptional contributions from employees.
Delivering his opening remarks, the hotel’s manager, Sulaiman Umar, described 2024 as a remarkable year of growth, marking a 70-80% improvement in various areas of operation compared to the past 15 years since the hotel's establishment. He attributed the year’s successes to a combination of staff training programs and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
“We have invested significantly in upskilling our workforce, ensuring they meet and exceed customer expectations. As we look forward to 2025, we promise our clients even greater satisfaction with new plans already in place to elevate their experience,” Umar stated.
The manager also expressed profound gratitude to the hotel’s investors, acknowledging their pivotal role in driving the hotel’s success. “Your unwavering support has propelled us to this level of growth,” he said, adding that the hotel remains committed to continuous improvement.
Activities and Highlights
The event included a variety of engaging activities, such as a mini-competition among staff departments, including Reception, Restaurant, Kitchen, Security, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Equipment Office. Each team delivered presentations highlighting their department's significance and contributions to the hotel’s operations. This exercise, titled "Appreciating the Role and Efforts of Employees," fostered teamwork and showcased the staff’s dedication.
Awards were presented to outstanding employees who demonstrated exceptional commitment throughout the year. Additionally, recognition was given to the best-performing departments, further motivating staff to maintain high standards in their respective roles.
